Muir House Banister Restoration Project: What to Expect
Restoration of the Muir House banister begins Jan. 6, 2025, lasting about a month. The 2nd floor and upper levels will be closed for safety. Work occurs Mon-Fri, 7 a.m.–3-5 p.m., with dust contained by tarps. Occasional work vehicles may be present.
Martinez Adobe
The Martinez Adobe, located on the western edge of John Muir’s historic orchard, is currently closed due to structural damage. It is unknown when the public will be able to enter the structure. The Muir/Strentzel mansion remains open to visitors.
