Dipsea Trail Footbridge Closed for Season
The Dipsea Trail footbridge crossing Redwood Creek has been removed for the season. Please detour via the Deer Park Fire Road and Muir Woods Road. This footbridge is only accessible during low creek flow and is removed to protect salmon habitat.
Trail Connection Between Ben Johnson Trail and Dipsea closed Monday-Thursday until January 2025
Our trail crew will be working to rebuild switchbacks above the Stapelveldt junction. The trail is expected to be open most Fridays and weekends. Alternate routes are available on surrounding trails. Click more (link) for map. Plus d'information

Reservations are required for all personal vehicles and shuttle riders at Muir Woods. You can make your reservation by visiting www.gomuirwoods.com. Visit our "Know Before You Go" webpage to learn more important details before your visit.
No Cell Service or WiFi
There is NO cell service or internet at Muir Woods. We discourage using a rideshare service to leave the woods. When hiring a taxi, visitors have the option of negotiating a flat rate or using the meter. Under some circumstances a flat rate may be cheaper
