Oakland Main House Self-Guided Tours
The interior of the Oakland Main House is ONLY open to the public on weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All tours of the house are self-guided and occupancy within the building is limited. Please plan accordingly.
President's Day Park Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park, to include all three sites, will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents’ Day. The park will reopen on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Memorial Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park, to include all three sites, will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day. The park will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 for regular operations.
Juneteenth National Independence Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park, including Oakland Plantation, Magnolia Plantation, and park headquarters, will be closed on Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. The park reopens on Friday, June 2025.
Independence Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day. The park will reopen on Saturday, July 5, 2025 for regular operations.
Labor Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park, including all 3 sites, will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day. The park will reopen on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 for regular operations.
Columbus Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, in observance of Columbus Day and will reopen on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 for regular operations.
Veterans Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in observance of Veterans Day and will reopen on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 for regular operations.
Thanksgiving Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in observance of Thanksgiving Day and will reopen on Friday, November 28, 2025 for regular operations.
Christmas Day Closure
The Cane River Creole National Historical Park will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in observance of Christmas Day and will reopen on Friday, December 26, 2025 for regular operations.
